There is bad news for the Blues as both Didier Drogba and star youngster Daniel Sturridge could miss the away game with West Brom.

Chelsea are keeping an eye on Didier Drogba, he missed he country’s match against Guinea due to a knee injury and will have to wait and see if he’ll be fit.

Meanwhile Daniel Sturridge is a worry as he bruised a toe during England’s 3-2 defeat against Holland.

As for the home team winger Jerome Thomas is doubtful after injuring his hamstring against Sunderland.

Chris Brunt could return after missing the last two months with a foot injury – his return is bad news for Blues’ fans as he’s a major talent.

Head-to-Head

The Blues have beaten West Brom in 15 consecutive top-flight matches (11 Premier League games).

The last time West Brom managed to beat Chelsea was at the Hawthorns in March 1979 – a 1-0 victory

One to watch

Peter Odemwingie – After a poor season the boy has found his scoring boots, he’s netted five times in West Brom’s last two games. Rumour has it he’s looking for a move away from the club, and he will be looking for an impressive display against a top-side to aid his next step.

Almost there

Didier Drogba is on 99 Premier League goals, just one short of the impressive100.

Frank Lampard needs just one goal to get his 150th in the Premier League.

If Ramires plays, it will be his 50th appearance for the club.

Betting

The Blues are a very attractive evens, even with the mixed form and possible players missing out this is worth a few quid.

You can also get evens for over 2.5 goals or 9/4 if you fancy a goal fest (over 3.5 goals).

Odemwingie is 15/2 to open the scoring, whilst Juan Mata is 17/2 and the out of form Fernando Torres is 6s.
