It has been reported in Holland that Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal to sign Ajax defender Gregory van der Wiel.
Over the summer a host of clubs have been chasing the Dutch International, his suitors include the two Manchester clubs and both teams from Milan.
It it believed that Andre Villas-Boas is the closest to getting the highly-rated 23-year old’s signature, should a move go through is likely to be worth around £25m.
